JESUS CALLING by SARAH YOUNG

Book Description
Uniquely inspired treasures from heaven for every day of the year by missionary Sarah Young.

Jesus Calling is a devotional filled with uniquely inspired treasures from heaven for every day of the year. After many years of writing in her prayer journal, missionary Sarah Young decided to listen to God with pen in hand, writing down whatever she believed He was saying to her. It was awkward at first, but gradually her journaling changed from monologue to dialogue. She knew her writings were not inspired as Scripture is, but journaling helped her grow closer to God. Others were blessed as she shared her writings, until people all over the world were using her messages. They are written from Jesus’ point of view, thus the title Jesus Calling. It is Sarah’s fervent prayer that our Savior may bless readers with His presence and His peace in ever deeper measure.

REVIEW:
This is a very unique and special book. Jesus Calling is the number one selling devotional in the book store I work at. People buy them 3 or 4 at a time so they can give them away to friends. That really caught my attention and made me want to read what was inside that book so many wanted to give away.

We use this often times at work for our devotional prayer before we let in our customers into the store. Personally I find this book amazing. No matter what page I turn to and read daily it most of the time it’s EXACTLY what I needed to read for the day ahead. Because this book is written in first person; as if the Lord Jesus were talking to you directly, it’s such a comfort. Jesus Calling is an encouragement and a comfort a great way to start your day. I highly recommend it.

  1. Devotionals are great when they speak directly to your heart. This one sounds like it fits the bill. Gotta have this one!
