BACK COVER:
Horror novelist Wolfe "Boo" Boone is the only reason once-struggling Skary, Indiana, developed into a thriving tourist attraction. That's why folks get spooked when Boo becomes a Christian---and "gives up the ghostly" to pursue girl-next-door Ainsley Parker. Now somebody is trying to poison their relationship before Boo kills his career . . . and Skary!

REVIEW: Rarely have I laughed this much from reading a book. Rene Gutteridge is obviously a woman who knows how to look at the funny side of life and has a real gift of sharing it with us lucky readers. Boo is the first in a series of books that take place in fictional Skary, Indiana, much like a modern-day Mayberry complete with quirky characters.

The town is on the map because of their most famous resident, horror writer Wolfe Boone nicknamed “Boo.” A horror theme is celebrated year-round by all the local businesses to draw in tourists who are fans of Boo hoping to catch a glimpse of the mysterious, evasive loner. However, the lucrative business of Boo is at risk much to the disappointment of the locals and his publisher because Wolfe Boone has a creative crisis. He has a new relationship with Jesus and has lost his desire for horror stories.

Boo takes us on the journey of Wolfe learning to follow his Savior and a town learning that God always has a better plan than we can imagine. It’s a fun ride. Just one Boo is not enough – you’ll want to stay in Skary through all three sequels, Boo Who, Boo Hiss, and Boo Humbug.
