ATLANTA WOMEN OF FAITH CONFERENCE 2011

IMAGINE - That was the theme of this years Women of Faith Conference held in the Phillips Arena in Atlanta, GA. So gratiful we received tickets to attend this event as a blessings to my daughter and myself. We are very thankful for the opportunity to be part of such an awesome event! the conference kicked off with the praise and worship team! They had monitors with the words so we all could sing along! I appreciate that!

Scripture Verse they based their vision on was Ephesians 3:20, "God can do anything you know - far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams!"

I don't know about you but I've found this true in my life. He knows me far better than I know myself! The things I think are impossible in my life He makes possible! This was my first time going to the Women of Faith Conference and it was amazing.

Women of faith is a division of Thomas Nelson publishers and the list of speakers were thrilling. Lisa Harper, Nicole Johnson, Angie Smith, Sheila Walsh, Steve Auterburn and Luci Swindoll. The singers were Mary Mary Laura Story and Natalie Grant.

I'm going to be blogging about this event for a few days. There is so much to share. I wanted to go through the time line they have listed in their Memory book. I had no idea that this event has been going on as long as it has.

Note: "Not long after women of Faith began, women who came to our events started asking us for a way to stay in touch between events. They wanted encouragement as the work God began in their lives at a Women of faith weekend continued throughout the year. They wanted to stay connected to us - and we wanted to stay connected to them. and so, the Women of Faith Association (as it was known then) was born. We signed up our first Member in 2002, and we've been connecting with women ever since. in 2009 we changed the name to "Women of Faith Connection  because that's what we're all about: the connection between each of us and God - and the connection we share with each other."

2010 For the first time, Women of Faith offers two simultaneous tours (Imagine and Over the Top) for a combined total of 29 events.

2011 IMAGINE WOMEN OF FAITH EVENT I ATTENDED!!

The first person that I heard speak was Lisa Harper! She was funny, real and an animated speaker. Loved how she up-dated the story about the women found in the act of Adultery and Jesus asks the person without sin to cast the first stone!

LISA SPEAKING AT WOMEN OF FAITH CONFERENCE - HYSTERICAL!!

STUMBLING INTO GRACE
by Lisa D. Harper
Published by Thomas Nelson (August 2nd 2011)
ISBN# 978-0849946486
229 Pages

Product Description:
Humorous yet poignant stories from Lisa's life help readers relate to spiritual truths found in the life and ministry of Christ.

Stumbling Into Grace is the diary-devotional of one woman's honest, ongoing, bumbling journey of faith and how she finds encouragement through a deeper understanding of Christ's time on earth. Within each chapter she alternates her often humorous memoir with stirring portraits of Jesus and his own encounters as recorded in the New Testament.

Both intimately relevant and refreshingly inspirational, this book will help readers to jettison the theological misconceptions, guilt, shame, and hypocrisy they struggle with, exchanging them for a vibrant, passionate relationship with Christ that results in a more abundant, joyful life.

I enjoyed listening to Lisa Harper and it was great fun to meet her in person at the book signing. I can't wait to read her new book. More about the Women of Faith Conference tomorrow. It was a BLAST to meet Lisa Harper face to face. She was so much fun!
