ABOUT BOOK AND AUTHOR: NEED YOU NOW: Biographies & MemoirsParenting

NEED YOU NOW: A Story of Hope is the deeply personal, incredibly honest, and hugely encouraging new book by recording artist, songwriter, and performer PLUMB aka Tiffany Lee. Equal parts revealing memoir and inspirational literature, each chapter reveals a day in the life of a rock star, inviting you into Plumb's personal journey of embracing her life's passion of music and her very real, all-encompassing love for her family and community. Both laugh-out-loud funny and deeply moving, Need You Now is the story of beautiful and embarrassing moments on stage, the joys and trials of motherhood and unbridled forgiveness. It is the story of soul mates, best friends and a marriage redeemed. And more than anything, Need You Now is the story of love, fresh starts and the relentless message that no matter who you are or what you have done...there is always HOPE.
Sometimes when life seems to be in the best possible position, your world caves in on you. This was the place in which Plumb found herself a few short years ago. Immediately after completing her comeback album ‘NEED YOU NOW’, Plumb found herself in an unthinkable position. Her marriage was on the brink of divorce, and she had to make a decision that would change the course of her family’s future. She chose to fight for her marriage and her family.

Already her biggest album to date, the title-track “NEED YOU NOW (How Many Times)” was a #1 smash hit at radio and cemented her place as a multi-faceted musical force. Selling over 100,000 albums, 300,000 singles on iTunes, 100,000 certified spins on radio, and 5 Million streams across YouTube, Spotify, Beats, Radio, and the like, NEED YOU NOW has merged formats and found acceptance in a variety of crossover genres.

Now two years later, Plumb is telling her story not only in the upcoming book NEED YOU NOW – A Story of Hope, but also through the release of a deluxe version of the ‘NEED YOU NOW’ album. Upcoming book to release on September 16, 2014.
REVIEW: I’m thankful for the review copy of a book that shares the heart and very soul of the artist, Plumb. She is as transparent in this book as she is in her music. This is an autobiographical story of a life lived to the fullest. Tiffany Lee is the female voice of the group Plumb who talks about how she started singing at a really young age and when she decided to leave her bank teller job to sing full time. Oh, and she talks about how the opportunity came about to live with the Gather’s while she found a place to live in Nashville. Tiffany talks about the ups and downs of being signed to a record deal and everything in-between. This is an inspiring read as she bares her soul and talks about the good, sad and the ugly! After reading her testimony I can hear so much more to her hit song, Need You Now than before.

Here’s what Amy Grant has to say about the book in the forward, “…hope looks different in each of our lives. Hope shows up when we stop hustling for what we think we want and what we think we need and who we are to let God have His way. Some of us have to crash and burn before we’ll let go. When we finally do, though, we discover with fresh appreciation what God has been doing all along throughout our lives – providing unexpected serendipitous moments, directing us across the paths of people who are integral to our journey, and surprising us with experiences and opportunities that we are too timid to even imagine dreaming. This is the road to be on… and the good news is…It’s never too late!”

I think that covers the feel of Tiffany’s story. I like how Amy said that. Susanna Foth Aughtmon wrote this book with Tiffany and describes their meeting as divine and she felt as if they’d known each other a lot longer than the several hours they had to talk about what to write. Susanna says this about working with Plumb. “Tiffany is a rock star. I know this because I've seen her on stage and she has an amazing presence, her voice is incredible, and she wears much cooler shoes than I do. But mostly Tiffany is Tiffany. She is real. She is authentic. She is honest and she is, in a sense; every woman. She has hopes, dreams,    passions and has trouble keeping the house clean. Just like me. Just like you…we are all looking for hope and light and love and healing in the broken places in our lives.”

After reading this book I felt as if Tiffany and I sat down for coffee and she brought out her scrapbook and shared about herself and expected wanted me to do the same. I laughed-out-loud, I cried, and I jumped for joy and shed happy tears for Tiffany and her family in this deeply moving book. I appreciated your transparency and honesty in the things you shared. I know this will be an encouragement to so many. It was for me. THANK YOU Tiffany for having the courage to share your story with the grace and integrity. This is a story of faith, hope and love! I highly recommend it and the CD by the same name.
