REVIEW: “April Knight is an artist and a worshiper who loves all colors and loves stories of God’s Faithfulness.”

She starts out this 6 week devotional book with information on how to use this book use in order to get the most out of these coloring, activity pages. The author states, “Recent research shows that doodling helps people stay focused, grasp new concepts, and retain information. It can be used to 1) Focus on things above 2) Worship God 3) Grasp biblical truths 4) memorize scripture 5) enhance bible study and devotional experience.

She starts out with some practice pages, talks about basic materials and coloring tips. She has a Jump-start page with tips on helping your creativity flow, shows readers how to create different styles of lettering and boarders. I colored a lion and put a bible verse at the bottom of the page. It felt good to be creative.

The author had many bible verses and bible stories for the reader to take deeper. One of them was “The Walls of Jericho” the scripture verse was Philippians 1:2 esv Then she had Prov 3:5. She has the story of Noah’s Ark and God’s faithful promises. She had readers finish the page she had started.

There were scriptures on how God cares for us. Another page had readers delve into a Journey of Generosity. She states, “Generosity is a gift not just for the recipient but to the giver as well.

The author states, “…Pause to pray about it before you begin, and then fill in the blanks provided. Once you finish fulling out the game plan, add color…”

Another page she talks about, “One word REST Matt 1:28 Come to me, all you who are weary and Burdened and I will give you rest. Fit together Eph 4:16 NLT He is faithful to hold us, John 10:27-30.”

This is so much more than a coloring devotional. It’s an engaging worship experience that helps readers tap into their creative side.

One word REST Matt 1:28 Come to me, all you who are weary and Burdened and I will give you rest. Fit together Eph 4:16 NLT He is faithful to hold us, and John 10:27-30 He is faithful to hold us.

This book stretches readers to worship, memorize scripture and dig deeper into bible verses and helps them connect with our heavenly Father in creative ways. It's a win, win!
